JLG Industries has appointed a new Director of Product Management for its scissor, vertical and low-level access lift product lines.

Bob Begley, who has previously held similar roles with manufacturers, will be responsible for the direction and implementation of JLG’s market strategies and will oversee its multi-generational product plan.

According to JLG, part of Oshkosh Corporation, Begley and his team will also work with customers to gather feedback and observe first-hand how JLG machines are being used on job sites.

Begley said, “We take this approach seriously. By closely working with customers throughout the product development cycle, we ensure that the JLG brand is developing and delivering advancements across our product lines that drive tangible value on job sites.”

He added, “Within the last few years, JLG has taken big leaps in the evolution of its aerial lift portfolio, incorporating exciting new design changes and introducing new specialty models, including all-electric, lightweight and indoor-only options.

“Many of these progressive design changes were customer-driven and focused on productivity. And, that work continues today.”

During his career Begley has worked for several construction and industrial sector companies, including Blaw-Knox Construction Equipment, Volvo Construction Equipment and Ingersoll-Rand.

He is also a former serviceman of the United States Navy and holds engineering degrees from Thomas Edison State University and Youngstown State University, as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from Indiana University.
