VP PLC buys small access renter

UK rental company Vp plc has acquired M&S Hire Ltd for £2.8 million in cash.
M&S is based from a single location in Sittingbourne, Kent, east of London, a specialises in renting and selling scaffold towers, podium steps and push-around vertical mast access platforms. It was founded in 1984 and supplies the greater London market, particularly contractors in the commercial fit out sector.

M&S will be integrated with VP’s MEP Hire business, which offers low level access and press fitting tools from nine locations.
Jeremy Pilkington, Chairman of Vp plc, said, “The acquisition of M&S is an excellent addition to our very successful MEP Hire business and it will complement its existing operations with increased exposure to the commercial fit out sector. I am delighted to welcome the M&S team to Vp.”
