Manitou introduces BIM models

Manitou has taken another step forward on its digital transition, by launching freely-accessible 3D digital models of its construction equipment for use with BIM.

The creation of the virtual models, which was carried out by BIM specialist BIM&CO, can be found in the BIM library on Manitou’s website and BIM&CO’s website. It means that BIM architects, modelers and designers can now easily download and introduce Manitou’s machines into their own digital work environments.

The online product catalogue currently comprises 11 fixed telehandlers models, including the MT 733 and MT 1033 machines, and four mobile elevating work platforms, all of which can be downloaded for free in BIM format.

Arnaud Boyer, VP marketing and product development for Manitou Group, said, “Our digital transformation is accelerating and should enable our customers to improve efficiency on their sites.

“That’s why Manitou offers dynamic files in BIM format, which are part of a collaborative approach to project development.”

Manitou will present the new offering in detail at the BIM World show 5-6 April, 2022, in Paris.

Laurent Lacroix, business development Ddirector at BIM&CO, said, “We are delighted to have someone like Manitou Group as a customer. “Products in BIM format can be quickly uploaded to the BIM&CO platform and then easily integrated into digital mock-ups, bringing visibility to design offices and architects.”
